Flow Automotive and UVA Partner for EdZone Community Drive

At Flow Subaru of Charlottesville, giving back to our community is part of who we are. That's why we were proud to partner with University of Virginia Athletics and the Chris Long Foundation in support of the EdZone Initiative-a program dedicated to ensuring every student in Charlottesville City Schools has access to essential daily necessities. Throughout February 2025, our stpre, along with all other Flow Charlottesville dealerships,  hosted a citywide donation drive to collect much-needed items like toothpaste, soap, toilet paper, and winter wear for the EdZone Essential Needs Closets. The drive kicked off in a big way during the UVA vs. Duke basketball game on February 17, where we rallied fans and families to contribute to this meaningful cause.
"By donating these essential items, we can help ensure that all students have access to the resources they need to thrive," said Bennett Acuff, Group President of Flow Automotive in Charlottesville. At Flow Subaru, we believe no child should be held back in school due to a lack of basic necessities, and we are proud to stand alongside the Chris Long Foundation to help eliminate those barriers.

For those unable to attend the game, Flow Subaru and our fellow Flow dealerships in Charlottesville served as donation points throughout the month. On March 4, we joined UVA athletes and spirit team members at Charlottesville High School for the final delivery-distributing over 25 bags filled with critical items. We also had the opportunity to tour the main EdZone closet and see firsthand the impact this program has on local students.

It was a powerful day of collaboration, with teams from Virginia Sports Properties, Charlottesville City Schools, the Chris Long Foundation, and passionate volunteers all coming together for a common goal. We're incredibly grateful for the chance to contribute and are already planning a back-to-school drive to continue supporting this important work.
